Evie's Cross Country Reflection

Cross Country Experience

"NOOOO" I screeched, it can't be!! I felt like I was going to pass out. cross country was to day!! "Yes I know jaw dropping" I heard a voice behind me I turned around it was Emma my best friend, we talked for a bit about the race. After talking we turned around you could see people biting their nails in fear, pulling their hair, screaming in horror and a group of confident girls chattering about winning. When I was training, I felt like I could do this but it turned like I can't do this my life is ruined !! you could see the seniors in two big lone lines. We were walking to Carlton to Rutherford Junior high. In seconds we were there. we waited for over 10 minutes for the race to start. "10 and 11 years old get ready" a teacher said, we stood up and walked over to the race line " Okay good luck" The teacher said.My heart was racing!  She had these two blocks and she SLAMMED!! It was like a tsunami of girls I went in front then back. we went over 3 bumpy hills it went smaller to big to bigger, the last one I struggled to get up. Then there were loopy loops, And then there was a high hill her was a tree in the corner so I grabbed it to help me get up. There were more bumps, it went higher to lower and then I sawed a boy I couldn't notice who he was, he looked at my legs in a disgusting way like he saw a rat, he pushed me and ran faster. I gave up I was so tired. I kept running, I was finally done, yes I lost but it over and done with.
